At Twin Cities Orthopedics Foundation, we strongly believe in the power of volunteers to make a huge difference to people all across the world. This is why we have partnered with two outstanding organizations, Bolder Options and Hope for the City to provide you with an opportunity to get out and volunteer! And remember, volunteerism fulfills health benefits requirements! Read below for more information about our partner organizations:

Bolder Options is an innovative organization focusing on healthy youth development.

The comprehensive mentoring program, wellness activities, and leadership opportunities coordinate family, community, school, and county resources in a united effort to support youth who are at-risk for dropping out of school or becoming involved in delinquent or unhealthy behaviors.

Utilizing a research-based curriculum and annual evaluations, Bolder Options engages youth and mentors in goal setting, physical activity, tutoring, and community involvement to build confidence, maximize potential, and encourage healthy life skills.

Boulder Options is run by former Minnesota Gophers great and NFL running back, Darrell Thompson. Bolder Options became an independent 501(c)3 in June of 1998, and was originally established to fill the void in one-on-one mentoring in Minneapolis. It has since expanded it's efforts to fill the needs of youth in St. Paul and Rochester.

As the Bolder Options program has grown, staff has worked to implement every industry established best practice — truly becoming a leader in the field. Bolder Options is now recognized as an expert partner by Mentoring Partnership of Minnesota and hailed nation-wide for the innovative, one-of-a-kind programming. To date, Bolder Options has matched nearly 1500 youth with mentors and continuously achieved a success-rate 50% higher than the national average.
